Biography
I provide a high-quality free placement service to help seniors and their family members navigate through the appropriate senior living options to include 55+ Active Adult, Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care and Life Plan Communities. My goal is to listen intently and compassionately to my client's desires and specific needs and to carefully connect and support them with the best options for their next journey in life. With 10+ years of extensive senior living experience that has covered the entire spectrum of senior living options, I’m fully qualified and sincerely honored to help my clients coordinate the complexities of this process with professionalism, knowledge, integrity, love, and compassion.
After 20 years of a successful career in the hospitality and country club business in Denver, I discovered my true “calling” in serving seniors. In witness of the aging journey with my precious Mom, I found myself on the winding road in navigating the complexities of senior living – how can I provide the appropriate care for her, make sure that she has nutritious meals, takes her medication, bathes, on and on and on….
I am truly grateful for the blessing and opportunity to be with her every step of the way with the support of incredible employers who understood my commitment to my Mom – doctor’s appointments, medication management and oversight, meals, housekeeping – how on earth can I keep this up? I’m not alone….many of my clients and their family members are in those shoes or walking through the footprints in the sand and carrying the emotions. My precious Mom asked one day – “what happens if there isn’t a Jan?” I didn’t know the answer, but a month or so before she passed away peacefully in my home after several years of decline, I promised her that I would “Pay It Forward In Honor of My Mom!”
I quickly launched into the senior living industry as a Director of Community Relations and Executive Director in Assisted Living/Memory Care, Strategic Account Exec for a PACE program, and as a Sales Manager for a 55+ Active Adult Community – I’m very grateful and proud of the full spectrum of experience in senior living options in addition to my CSA (Certified Senior Advisor) Certification and the opportunity to speak in front of audiences in several professional capacities.
The foundation of my success in this business is truly based on my personal experience with my precious Mom, and I quickly learned how to navigate through the options, became familiar with home care and ancillary services and gained knowledge, at a high level, of the intricacies of the various options. I became skilled in how to create and design thoughtful and purposeful resources to support the needs of everyone that I “touched.”
