NPRA Made 'Meaningful Strides' In 2025, President John Benbrook Says
Association Today Launches 'Eagle Fund' To Support Advocacy
Dear NPRA Members, Partners, and Friends,
As we reflect on the accomplishments of 2025, I am proud to share that the National Placement and Referral Alliance has made meaningful strides in advancing our mission to professionalize and protect the senior placement industry. Guided by our core values — advocacy, education, ethics, and community — this year has been one of growth, impact, and preparation for even greater influence ahead.
A Year of Expansion and Advocacy Wins
In 2025, NPRA achieved several key milestones that demonstrate the strength and momentum of our association:
- We successfully lobbied for legislation in Texas that lifted long-standing caps on senior placement referral fees — a significant win for senior placement professionals.
- We expanded our advocacy footprint by contracting with lobbyists in five states, ensuring that local legislative landscapes are monitored and engaged.
- We welcomed 11 new chapters across nine states, including strategic expansion into key capitols such as Austin, Boise, Hartford, and Columbus, strengthening our grassroots presence.
- NPRA’s membership approached nearly 1,000 members, with notable growth across individual agents, placement group memberships, and overall association strength.
Beyond advocacy and membership growth, we made important organizational investments, including the rollout of national bill-tracking and grassroots advocacy tools, creation of comprehensive member leadership datasets, and development of a chapter onboarding process that reinforces unity and support among local leadership.
Strategic Governance and Organizational Stability Our Board of Directors met monthly throughout the year and began updating NPRA’s bylaws and strategic plan to position the association for continued relevance and excellence in 2026. We also welcomed Cassy Hemmen as our Membership Specialist, bringing fresh energy and focus to member engagement and service.
Looking Forward: The Eagle Fund for Advocacy
Perhaps the most exciting initiative on the horizon is the Eagle Fund for Advocacy, launching today. This voluntary contribution program is designed to sustain and amplify NPRA’s advocacy efforts at the state level. By pooling resources from members and supporters, the Eagle Fund will allow us to respond strategically to emerging policy challenges and opportunities across the nation.
The Eagle Fund represents a new chapter in NPRA’s journey — one that acknowledges the growing complexity of the regulatory and legislative environments in which we operate, and the importance of a well-resourced, proactive advocacy strategy. Contributions to the Eagle Fund are voluntary and structured at multiple participation levels:
- Annual Eagle Fund Participant – $195 donation
- Life Eagle Fund Participant – $1,950 donation
- Double Life Eagle Fund Participant – $3,900 donation
Gratitude and Commitment to the Future
None of these achievements would be possible without your trust, engagement, and dedication to elevating our industry. The collective momentum we’ve built through NPRA speaks to the importance of professional standards, ethical practice, and unified advocacy.
As we prepare for 2026, I invite you to stay involved — whether through chapter engagement, advocacy efforts, certification advancement, or participation in the Eagle Fund — and to continue shaping the future of senior placement with integrity and vision.
With gratitude and optimism,
John Benbrook President, National Placement & Referral Alliance
